Default Sold house in UK - what UK tax returns are needed?

Hoping someone here might have run into this before & have answers....

In May last year my family sold a house we had inherited and I had a part interest in. I filed the UK capital gains tax return & paid the bill within 30 days. For my 2021 taxes here in Canada I claimed the UK CG tax amount as a credit.(or whatever the correct term is).

Now I have a letter from the CRA "adjusting" my tax return to remove that credit for the UK tax paid, about 4,000 pounds. I've been able to sign onto the HMRC website and printed the summary of the capital tax gains return & the accountant will send that to the CRA, but the letter from the CRA said "... you did not provide complete copy of your UK tax return along with the tax calculation page."

Does anyone know what is required here? Am I supposed to file an actual UK annual tax return here as well ? What on earth would i file on a UK return - everything or just the house sale/capital gain ?

Anyone had to deal with this before ?

Thanks :-)
