Fiesta's in Alberta are expensive for what they are and OH wouldn't bother with a Focus either even though he always fancied one in the UK. If you want info on Ford brand cars give me a shout. OH has been a Ford mechanic for getting on for 30 years now There isn't much he doesn't know unless it's a diesel and then he knows the common problems anyway
I bought some for Easter at a good butchers. I was quietly horrified when I got to the til and paid!!! Haven't bought it since!

still very interested in the views that most things are not cheaper in Canada. Today I bought a sheet set (4 pillow cases, one flat and one fitted sheet) Queen size (but think that is large King in UK, size is 2.36mx2.82m for the flat sheet) 420 thread count for $80, including tax, so that is about £45.

Very interested in knowing whether it would be cheaper in Uk

M&S - so not the cheapest option, but it gives you an idea. We found the choice and selection much wider in the UKcand btought back 3 duvet covers, I'd geen struggling to find 'the right one' here tor a price I was happy with
Bed Sheets | Flat, Fitted & Valance Sheets | M&S

That is cheap. I bought one Dorma (King size) flat sheet, 350 thread count from Dunelms for £32.00!!! which at the current EX rate is about $58.00. I guess I won't be buying any more linen to bring with.....

I'd expect to pay about half that amount in the UK, unless I was shopping in a more premium shop like John Lewis or similar. I'm a complete bargain hunter, so wouldn't pay that amount for bedding, personally I'd get mine from somewhere like Primark (their sheets are amazing quality and never need ironing), Tesco Direct, or Matalan. Most of those places you'd pay around £20/25 for a bedding set.

What thread count are you getting for those prices? I've been looking recently for a cheap bedding set and I can't find above 180 (maybe 200) in the supermarkets at those prices.

I've not looked in Primark so maybe they do a higher thread count? Save me waiting to catch the sales at John Lewis or M&S

I've no idea, I don't even know what a thread count means! I just go with whether or not it feels nice and washes well, that's my only criteria.

Primark bedding is amazingly good, we've had various sets for years and they've lasted so well, really thick and soft as well.

That'll be from all the tears of the Indonesian children who knit them at gunpoint.

I have never been in a Primark store and had no idea that they sold bedding.
