I'm still undecided on what's worse - 8-legged bastards or tropical storms.

I was in Florida earlier this year, and took the wife and kids into the Forest's and saw snakes - even some hanging out of tree's! - was a good experience though (at a safe distance) and at the RV parks, I had to be careful when plugging the power cord into the box, as spiders seemed to love hiding under the cover!

Florida is a great place to visit, but don't know if I'd want to live there - although only recently found out snakes can make it through the winter in Canada!

Thousands live in 1 big Ball during the winter here and spring time unwind and go off on their own. But how many are Poisonous in Manitoba. 0

Well that gives me an idea............ find them when they're all asleep, and roll the big ball of them down to the USA!:rofl::rofl:

Seriously though, I'm not that bothered about them - just curious thats all.

Florida scorpions may look nasty, but our scorpions species here rarely kill anyone. If they sting you its posible you would get sick, but unless you had an existing disease or something, they can't kill you. (At least thats what I have been told, but I am not getting close enough to find out lol)

.

There are scorpions in Alberta and B.C like the rattlers and black widows you will seldom see them. The brown recluse spider shows up once in a while, now that is one nasty critter, I wont gross you out but if your inclined do a google image search "recluse spider bite". Fortunately as the name implies they are quite reclusive! We also have constrictors, the bull snake and the rubber boa.

OMG thats horrible!! Why oh why do people keep deadly 'pets' in their homes?! I bet that German guy must have realised how stupid he was to keep a Black Widow in his house before he died.

Saying that, I've had friends that kept boa constrictors as pets in their house... needless to say, I refused to visit them :frown:

To me a pet is defined by : Can be petted and enjoys being petted domesticated creature... that excludes all reptiles and insects straight off the bat *lol* ;)
