My 14 year old son took advantage of this fast new service a few weeks ago. He went in to the office with his completed form & documents, answered a few questions and came out 5 minutes later with a piece of paper with his SIN on it that entitled him to use it straight away. He got the card in the post about a week later.

We done this when we landed in sept. We all went down to Pandora street CIC in Victoria. We was in and out in 30mins (four of us) with SIN numbers in hand, card came exactly week later.We just took passport with PR paperwork inside for ID if i recall rightly. Picked daughter up from airport yesterday so now to take her down to get hers.
