Hi,

I'm currently working in the UK for a Canadian company located in Toronto.

I've got the chance to possibly move to Toronto with my job. What I need to know is:-

Can I take my family? i.e. Wife children etc... silly question I know.
Can I take my Father-in-law who currently lives with us?
How hard will it be to get them over there?
Are houses expensive, I'd need a five bedroomed place.

Hi:

If you are applying for a temporary employment authorization, you can indicate that
your spouse and dependent children will be accompanying you to Canada. Your
father-in-law can then try to enter as a visitor.

However, if you are applying for Canadian permanent residency as the principal
applicant for Independent Immigration, your spouse and dependent children can apply
as dependents. Under this scenerio, once your wife land in Canada and meet the Low
Income Cut Off point (based on 12 months of income), your wife can apply to sponsor
your father-in-law. If your wife does not meet LICO you can co-sign.
