Silly things I LOVE about Canada
I thought I'd start this thread just in case anyone thinks I only have negative things to say about my adopted homeland.
Here are my top three silly things I LOVE about Canada.
1. Tim Hortons coffee and doughnuts on Sunday morning after walking the dogs.
2. Counting how many cars there are on the mile-long trains as they cross the road.
3. Having a barbecue in the snow and looking for (and finding) bear tracks!

ski-ing and then having a barbeque on the deck in the same day (OK, only happened once, but I thought that was c.o.o.l. )

Having a big truck with cruise control and cup-holders and pootling down Deerfoot Trail reading the newspaper!
(Just kidding about the newspaper - but I did see someone doing that once!) :scared:

1) People, even tradesmen, taking their shoes off when they come into your house, without being asked to.
2) Drivers understanding that six year old children playing street hockey do not constitute a legitimate target (maybe that's not silly).
3) Being able to buy beer at the gas station (available only in Quebec; certain conditions may apply).
4) Colleen Jones (dunno why, but for some reason I just would)
5) This woman. I must find her.

Things I love about Canada...
Ay!
People who don't get on the subway, as there are no seats left!
You can strike up a conversation with a complete stranger
The view of Downtown Toronto from Lake Ontario
-20 and there isn't a cloud in the sky
My Canadian blokey There I said it...
Tristan and America or Club Monaco
I'm going back to the UK for a week on Friday. I don't want to go, but it's also tinged a bit with homesickness for me.
Actually, what surprised me most about this is how quickly you get used to the place you live, I tend to take for granted being here a lot more than I used to.

I could forward this to Gord Rickard and I think he might be offended by that
a, you got the wrong major brewer
b, that you think its a main brew with colour
It is it own brew and not one of the standard brew's that’s been adjusted...
Unlike a very popular famous black beer in Canada that is in fact a main stream brewers standard ale that rimes with ‘nifty’ with “famous black beer flavour concentrate added..

For us, is the fact that we can work all week, and then look forward to the weekend, when we take trips around ontario, seeing roadside attractions and driving through scenic routes, and come back with some of the pics I have posted recently on here.

Might I hazard a guess that you work in a large building full of stainless steel tanks, quite close to TO airport?

and the reason I'm being crptic is I signed a few non-disclosure agreements when I worked for another company with a similar set of buildings but in but based in another city.....
