Do you not have a Shoe Company or Shoe Warehouse out there? They have tons of decent kids shoes. I hate Payless and won't go near one.

If ever there was a company that should be done under the Trades Descriptions Act it is Payless...

I spotted that place on the way home last night. I might take a look during the week. It reminds me of Brantano!

I found that Next was starting to suck in the UK, their quality was going downhill and thats primarily where I went for work clothes.

I like Banana Republic - their outlet mall is pretty good and sign up for their vouchers from the main store. The clothes are just fine for work. Reitmans pants are nice and Rickis can be good too, although sometimes expensive for what it is. Their sales are great, there is always something discounted, you can look online too.
Old Navy can have some nice things for work too.

Town shoes are the best bet for choice for work shoes I have found, although I have also seen some nice shoes in Le Chateau outlet

I dont like Walmart at all, unless its for socks or kids stretchy pants. There are nicer kids stuff at Old Navy and Joe Fresh in superstore.

We don't have a Le Chateau, so I dont know them. I think Joe Fresh is good, I bought my son a lovely cable knit sweater there yesterday for $20....and he likes it too

Thank you for mentioning Old Navy. I looked them up, they seem to have some really nice odds and bits, I shall certainly give them a try. Free postage in Canada too.

Nearest one is Moncton.

They do offer free shipping on orders over $50 though, plus free returns.

Edited to say Marks n Sparks are offering free delivery to Canada at the moment.

I've heard from a few different sources that Le Chat is good for work clothes. And flattering.

I agree, Banana is good for work stuff (better quality), Gap is good, so is Old Navy.

Old Navy saves on laundry bills as the clothes fall apart quickly. Very thin and poor quality fabric, hence the prices. I tend to shop in Penningtons and AdditionElle which are for fattties. I can shop in normal shops now but when I looked I didn't like much of what I saw. Banana Republic is good but way out of my price range, H and M I like and is affordable. Fortunately I can get scrubs for work and the rest of my life mainly needs casual clothes so I get by without having to shop much.

I got a couple of things from Old Navy that are really nice and standing up well to wash and wear, so pleased.
Le Chateau has some really nice work clothes. BR is usually out of my price range unless I have a coupon from an email or I go to the outlet.

I find it a bit chavvy and nylon .. And cut cheap .. Reminds me if Richard Shops (that dates me) and Dorothy Perkins. A little "mumsyish" .. Not so on trend ..

The only thing I can't find reasonable priced for decent quality is shoes, Payless is way overpriced, so I always go to Bellingham for shoes.

Famous Footwear is the only place I buy shoes, name brand shoes cheaper, especially when they have a buy 1 get 1 type sale.

They now have 1 location in Canada, but not sure if they will be on par with the US stores.

Toronto Premium Outlets in Halton Hills, Toronto apparently now has a famous foot wear.

Other then that I only wear jeans and t-shirts day to day, so get them at Wal-Mart usually, Sears etc are too high priced for me.

I get dress shirts and pants at Wal-Mart too, no reason to spend 50 bucks on a dress shirt when I can get one for 10 bucks.
