Shopping ...sad but true

Re: Shopping ...sad but true
At the time I had a pregnant wife. She said pregnancy made her feet cold in bed so the socks seemed an ideal joke present to bring back from Nawlins. Alas, the batteries rendered them impractical as they were lumpily attached to the outside of top of the socks making it uncomfortable to lay on one's side. Perhaps later versions worked better, ones made after the invention of small batteries.

****ing expensive though. I buy clothes from Eddie Bauer in the US when on trips down there. Last winter I bought a down coat in Louisina for $50. Quite why someone in Louisiana would need a down coat I don't know which probably accounted for the price.
Another online shopping option for comfortable North American clothes is llbean. Their prices are duty paid for Canada so no surprises in additional duties/fees.

I do try to not buy ANYTHING from ANYWHERE unless its Walmart, Target or on sale

Pacific Centre and the Bay. Nothing compares to John Lewis or House of Fraser. The Bay looks like a hurricane just went through it. There's no logic behind the way they organize their clothes. I discovered the Metropolis at the weekend (we had to go to ECBC), so I might go shopping round there one day.

I don't think we tried them outside of the flat, they were just for the cold feet in bed. That wouldn't have been actually cold, not enough for power loss from batteries. I'm afraid I don't know where they are now, if I had them I could do some tests in the fridge.

I was going to say, Main Street is my new favourite place to go shopping. Small, independent boutiques. Gastown has some nice shops, too.
Front & Company on Main is particularly dangerous. So is the Barefoot Contessa on Commercial.
