Mine is camp work, spoke to my hopefully new employer the other day, some of the work is fly in, then chopper to the place of work

Luckly with AIT I have 12900 hours when I sent the paper work 3 months ago. Hopefully everything goes smoothly otherwise it's Australia as a friend of mine owns a company out there that will sponsor me.

All depends on what visa you have or applied for. I presume if you want to stay forever you'd need to take the Red Seal exam eventually and get all your certs verified and hours verified etc. If you have a IEC visa and going to leave after it expires well no point really if you find work. But I may be wrong

Until you have the certification, you have to work under the direct supervision of a qualified tradesman.

And you'll not get paid as much, 'cause you'll be seen as an apprentice.

There are lots of posts of people that were told one thing, and experienced something very different. I look forward to reading about your experience once you arrive here.
