shipping quotes

Bradford uk to Belleville Canada;

PSS 4036 GBP
FOX 4224 GBP

Thats for a 20 foot container. I was expecting about 3000 to 3500, seems a bit steep, what do you think?

I have been looking at the same thing, ontop of all the other costs - see my last thread about How Much for some responses.
I have just received a quote from Anglo Pacific for £3.5k - £4.5k - also for a 20ft container but they cannot give me a def quote until they come and do a survey.......
Hope this helps!!

Re: shipping quotes

We have decided that if the shipping quote is over £4k we may just sell and start afresh and just send over boxes with photo's, CDs and DVDs etc. Depending what it costs to send boxes of course.

Is this an option for you?

Our shipping costs were £3649 including insurance for a 20' to Halifax, Having been to Belleville i know its a long way from any container terminal so your quote includes a lot of road/rail haulage.

Hi

We are paying £3300 all in for a 20 ft container to Halifax, as another poster mentioned above a lot of the xtra cost comes from the transportation from the port.

The above is through PSS:thumbup:

Have you looked online at the cost of replacing your furniture, i know when we looked into it, it was cheaper to ship than replace with similar quality
