Question Shipping Organisation

Hi again all,

first of all, thank you (again) to all those who offered advice during the long (and stressful!) journey to PR!

Secondly, we have one last question! (Probably a few last questions!!)... We hope you can help

We're starting to get things organised for our move and were trying to get our heads round the logistics...

Were planning on taking our obese cat (Benny) with us on the same flight as us. Our belongings however will be following us.

Our question is, did you all put your stuff in storage with the shipping company until you had an address to send it to in Canada?

We intend to move over in April, and we were hoping to book a week (maybe two) in a pet-friendly self-catering flat/hotel. This would give us time to find a longer term rental and buy a car. As soon as we'd gotten an address we'd contact the shipping company and let them know so they can start the shipping process.

Does this sound reasonable? We were thinking that maybe we could find a rental online (having made contacts on our recce trip) but we don't really want to live in a place that we've not seen first-hand...

Your opinions/ideas are very much welcomed

Thanks all

Martin & Belinda.
