Shipping goods to Canada
Any members in the process of shipping belongings to Canada. at the most I would be looking at 2 medium sized boxes ' would it be possible to buy some space in a shipping container I've looked into air freight and it's expensive . My next question is I will possibly be going to Manitoba and it's central' so I would have to pay for extra trucking and customs fee's has anyone used any companies like parcel force from the uk .

Re: Shipping goods to Canada
If you are asking people to ship your stuff in their container, don't be surprised if people wouldn't touch it with a bargepole. No offense, but there could be anything in your boxes.
I know there are people who have shipped boxes using a courier serviced, if the search function is cooperating that might be worth a try. |
Re: Shipping goods to Canada
If you are not in a hurry for your items to turn up and can wait 9-13 weeks, I found Pickfords International good value, helpful and reliable.

Re: Shipping goods to Canada
I'm going to try a couple of companies this week for quotes I'm possibly going to Manitoba so it's very central quite far from any costal ports ' I'm not in any particular hurry, it would only be 3 or 4 medium sized boxes .

Because of that little bit of water known as the Atlantic boxes only have 2 ways to arrive in Canada by aircraft or by boat. Arriving by air is quicker but more expensive. Arriving by boat is slower but allegedly cheaper. You decide how much your goods are worth and what you would pay to get them here as opposed to buying them over here. |
Re: Shipping goods to Canada

I used White & Company on two occasions and found them to be reliable on both occasions.

1st Move International!! They gave me a really good quote, collected the goods on tuesday, today I have had photos of them all packaged & ready & the final cost which is only fractionally different, mainly because I added a few extra items at the last minute. Really pleased with them so far.
We are in Wales & going to Alberta Taking about 20 boxes & bags way too little for our own container. They've estimated 2 - 3 weeks |
