Shipping - Does this sound likely?

Our stuff if being shipped back to Northern Ireland (it's a 20ft container). The shippers are picking up the stuff on July 8th, they tell me the boat sails on July 16th and they expect our stuff to arrive in the Port of Larne on July 23rd. I'll be amazed if it's that quick. Any thoughts or experiences?

When we moved from Belfast to Montreal back in 1999 it took at least 4 weeks for it to arrive, mind you we had a lot less stuff back then so we would have been sharing a container.

Ours took just under three weeks coming this way - I'm sure it's feasible - and wow, the Port of Larne would be perfect for you - you could almost nip over them and hook it onto the back of a tractor !

Sounds doable to me, when we shipped our Expedition to my FIL it took 3 days by train to the port and then a further 6 or 7 days to the UK.

Well then it looks like I'll be seeing my stuff a lot sooner than I thought. Guess I better start looking for a place to rent pretty quickly, my sister is going to regret offering to store it all at her place:eek:

Hi Elaine

Sounds quite possible to me, especially if it is a groupage shared container? Of course I forsee the weather is with you also at this time of year to ship.
All the best to you for your move back.:)
