shipping boxes, not containers
Anybody on here shipped boxes to Canada, instead of half or whole containers full?
If we ever get the chace to move, we would only want to take sentimental stuff (photos, books...), but nothing else. We have a house over there already, which we have managed to furnish over the last few years, so we would be getting rid of everything over here. |

We are using "excess baggage". they were recommended on here and we have found them to be really good so far.
Good luck! Rachel |

I think I'll get some quotes closer to the time. Thanks for the info. :)

Re: shipping boxes, not containers
If you go on the excess baggage website, and choose ship rather than fly, it gives you a list of the costs per box to all different countries.
We are paying (I think) £175 for the first 35kg box, then £50 for each additional box. They give you the boxes and the packing materials for free, you just tell them what you want. Hope that helps Rachel |

We used with Allied Pickfords, took just boxes of personal stuff, no furniture.

Re: shipping boxes, not containers
We had 7 boxes (less than a cubic meter of space!) come over. We used White and Co. and found them and their Canadian counterpart to be fab.
Can't remember what the cost was, but it can't have been too much. They pack it all for you and would've unpacked it this end, but I wanted to do that. |
