Default Sending goods from the UK after arriving in Canada?

I am having some electronic equipment sent from the UK to Canada. Wondered what value do I include on the label to ensure no duties or taxes are payable as it is part of my goods list?

If the goods were included on your goods to follow list, there should be no issue.

...and if there were not declared, then you need to give them a realistic resale value and will be charged duty based on this.

Tax and duty free ONLY if they have been owned for 6 months or more .. and were included on your B4 'goods to follow' form (with full details and numbers). You'll probably have to supply a photocopy of your stamped and signed GTF list..

Duty and Taxes estimator if they don't qualify under B4 exemptions: https://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/travel-v...t-pdt-eng.html

Just contact the courier you’re shipping them with and inform them they are personal effects. They will likely ask you to sign a document and ask for a scan of your passport and they should be able to waive the tax. Its like shipping a suitcase for example.

Alternative (risky) option - declare the value below $18CAD (e.g. £10) so it is duty exempt. My parents do this when they ship me parcels of gifts from the UK.
