Send more documents while pending for background check
 

Hi all, I am sponsoring my wife and applied for PR, applied inland in last November.

We called last week and found out that the background check was not yet received by CIC, and that's the only thing pending before they can give her PR status.

If we submit more document to CIC (e.g. employment record, training certificate, university certificate...etc) now, will it speed up the process or will it cause more delay?

Those documents are irrelevant when it comes to the sponsorship application and will
have absolutely no impact on background/security check, so don't bother.
