Hi

I just had my medicals done and was wondering whether the secuity check is conducted after reviewing the medical results? Can anyone shed some light on this topic.

Usually these checks are done in parallel with other processing stages. Jim Humphries

There really is no way of knowing. CIS may be asked at any point to do background
checks on you, you need to remember that this process is totally cutoff from the CIC,
they have no control over it, they just initiate a request with CIS and then sit back
and wait for the results. It all depends on when the visa officer asks for one, which
could be with the initial assessment, immideately after it, before the interview,
after the interview, or even after the medicals. Only sure thing is, its done before
you are issued with a visa. Aside from that it totally depends on the visa officer
when he or she requests it.
