School Fees

As the new school year is upon us (I know some have started back already), I thought it would be helpful to others - those still in the UK, wondering what school fees may consist of, to post the fees you have paid this year as well as area you are in if it's not clear and grade of school your child is in. If anyone else thinks this would be helpful then please join in.;)

We are in Red Deer Alberta, daughter is going into Grade 9 (14 year old, 1st year High school) and it's a Public School.

The courses she is taking are:
Core - Social, Math and English (PE and Health)
Options - Science, French, Cosmotology/Fashions, Japanese and Leadership

Total cost $264.65 - This does not include supplies such as binders/paper/pens etc and is broken down as:
Books
Section Fees
Instruction Fees
Locker
Photo ID
Optional Year Book

If the text books are handed back in good condition then the least we'll get back at the end of the year is a 1/3 of the orignal price of the book.

Hope this helps someone:thumbsup:
