Default scaffolding

Hi im posting this for a friend who already lives in canada her adult son is thinking of moving over his job is a scaffolder does anyone have experience of this here just wondering if his certificates would be valid or if he would need to retrain and which areas would be good for him to look for employment is this trade used much in canada hopefully a scaffolder will be able to help me

I used to stand in the loader bucket of my tractor and poke the rise/lower lever with an extending pole to do the higher jobs around my property. The bucket worked well to hold a tool box and beer.
