Ha ha ha you are all very funny and most of it is true....
the temperatures can be a bit "brisk",beer is not cheap but it isnt anywhere really...all relative to income and Saskatchewan has been doing quite well in the last few years for income, jobs and the crime figures are all based around the "alphabet streets" where our first nations live....I think things here a little behind the rest of Canada in ways but hey its better than were we where....

Too bad you can't spend summers in Saskatoon and winters in Dubai. That would be the best arrangement. Winters in Saskatoon are just horrendous, especially for someone who is coming from a subtropical (or even temperate) locale and isn't acclimated.

For the summer months the weather is fab, the riverside walks are lovely & the shopping areas are quite good. As already stated, the alphabet areas are to be avoided. In the winter it is so cold I can't even describe it! Crispy hair and freezing up your nose when you breath out is weird! You'll be damn quick from your house to your car & then the car to wherever!
It's only -6 today & feels positively toasty! Has been -20 to -35 over past while, not including wind chill factors. Dress right and you'll be fine but will be a huge shock from Dubai temps!
