Can you be a bit more specific, what kind of tips are you after? Visas, where to live, financials, pensions, etc, etc? I'm sure somebody will be happy to help if you can let us know what kind of info you're after.

What's the benefit of Florida? Are taxes cheaper there?

If you are living in Canada - Save up from an early age and max out RRSP and TFSA
If you are not living in Canada - There is not a retirement route to Canada, other than parent grandparent sponsorship.

Climate. Canadians who retire tend to live in Florida as long as they can without becoming ineligible for their provincial healthcare plan. Not just Florida, of course, also AZ, GA, HI.

Perhaps we should wait to see if the OP is waiting for advice on how to or where to retire in Canada

Ah, ok. Presumably Canadian citizens? Or do you already have visas?

For banking info have a look here - https://britishexpats.com/wiki/Banking-Canada

Health info will depend on the province you've going to, as each has it's own system. But this Wiki article has some basic details - https://britishexpats.com/wiki/Medical_Insurance-Canada

Pensions are you looking for details on how to get your UK pension paid in Canada? Or details on how to claim a Canadian pension if you've got one of those too?

Your UK state pension will never increase
Pensions paid from the UK are of course subject to the whims of the exchange rate.

This thread could be like pulling teeth with the limited info the person is giving.

As previously asked and not yet answered are the retired couple even eligible to retire to Canada?

We are still living the UK and our Two sons and families are living in Canada. We applied to move to Canada two years ago and they have confirmed our application and not heard anything since.
