Resume / CV

I am currently updating my cv/resume (what do they call them here?)

I have read that they format them differently in Canada.

I was wondering if anyone had any good reference stuff towards creating one or even better know of a company that specialises in converting them and that would convert mine into a locally accepted format..obviously at a price :D

I am based in Toronto if that helps?

Ta in advance

Presume you've read the Wiki article about Canadianizing your CV?

Yes, couldn't see any reference to companies that are good for formatting them though...?

There are links to sample resumes, is that what you mean?

No companies that professionally do the conversion.

Ok, was more gearing towards a recommendation.
More than capable of using google but was hoping for one that maybe a member had used.

Thanks for you efforts.

Hi there,

I had the same problem to!! When I arrived I was sending out my english 2 1/2 page CV with no luck what so ever!!

So I did some research on goggle and just looked up what the difference was between a CV and resume and just went from there. I found Monster.ca to be quite helpful there are lots of tips on how to put together the perfect resume.

Trust me it really does help to research resumes as once I changed my CV into a resume I actually started to get call backs!!
What I found is that over here they prefer the resume to be between 1-2 pages at most, but there are so many templates online you should be able to find one that suits you best. I hope that helps!!

All the best!!

Regardless of what other posters have said - I think it's a reasonable question. I had my CV/resume reworked by these guys:

I don't know if they will do the work remotely or not.

Cheers - Steve
