Hi

When I lived in NS I used to look up arestaurant review website that was really good and had local reviews etc. I was just wondering if anyone could recommend any restaurant review websites.

Not seen one for our area..

I tend to go by word of mouth...

But having said that I can recommend two in "our" area

Barbizon at Eglington and Huronatrio... an excellent restaurant with a continental style but with meats such as elk, bison on the menu

Plus TAKA on Kennedy in Brampton, possibly one of the best sushi restaurants I have eaten in

Neither of these are cheap.. but the food is excellent

There are a few for Toronto. My husband is the one who looks at these so here are his favorites:

Toronto.com has some reviews here as well as profiles for quite a few restaurants: http://www.toronto.com/section/restaurants/

Toronto Life has quite a few reviews and is not a bad magazine to subscribe to, especially because of their annual 2 for 1 coupon book: http://www.torontolife.com/cityguide/restaurants.cfm

Chowhound has forums for readers to post reviews and requests for Toronto and quite a few other cities. It can get a bit argumentative at times, but if you want to know where a particular cuisine can be found someone there will answer. http://www.chowhound.com/canada/boar...o/toronto.html

Toronto Eats is a newsgroup that gets user reviews and also is good for answering questions. Has the usual problems that newsgroups have with flame wars, but there are gems here. http://groups-beta.google.com/group/tor.eats

Things are going well here in Ontario, I think I definitely prefer it to NS, NS is beautiful but Ontario is just more practical for us. I have been out walking the dogs and toddler several times this week as well. Beautiful sunny skies!

Lots more places to walk dogs rather than just round streets in Bedford.

Did I see you are moving to Ontario??

ME move from Nova Scotia..........no I moved from Ontario.....!
I think that must be Ukjo that will eventually moving to Ontario.
