I was planning to leave for Canada on a student visa and then staying afterwords. But was wondering how would i go about getting a permanent residential status? After graduating there is a period of 1 or 2 years that you can stay and work, so after this would i have to apply as a skilled worker and get a PR this way? Or is there something simpler than all this?
Thx in advance.

Nothing simpler than that for permanent residency - unless you marry or cohabit with a Canadian who can sponsor you...

Wouldnt the big problem be that your post student visa would expire long before PR was finalised as you couldnt apply until you had sufficient skilled experience to qualify as a SW, and processing times are bordering on ludicrous.

So if im pending PR as a skilled worker i wouldnt be able to stay in Canada till im finalized? Bummer.
Well in that case what are the chances for a fictive marriage?
