Hi Andrew and the rest of the crew,

I have applied for the PR but unfortunately I listed my intended occupation as a Software Analyst (but my experience letters indicate Software engineer and software consultant) ..... which I guess is not listed in the long list of occupations ..

Do u think I should send them a fax along with another current experience letter explaining the situation to them?
Will it hamper the processing of my current application ?

Thanks
Vivek

While software engineers may exist in Canada, they do so in a roundabout kind of way,
and are treated as if they were junior programmers. Engineering in Canada is a
restricted profession that means use of the term engineer is restricted to
professional engineers. There is no professional engineering category for software
engineers.

If you've been in the business for several years, a systems analyst is probably a far
closer match to what you do anyway.
