Reply to Calgary Visit for Tony

Hi Tony
We noticed the thread was closed and started a new one just so we could reply to you.
We moved to Calgary January this year. We don't have kids so wouldn't know about schools but could buy you a beer if you'd like and chat about the City in general.
We'll keep an eye on this thread or you can email us

Cheers

Hello, Jay and Steve.

Are you referring to the Calgary Visit thread that was started by tonyrleach? If that's the case, the thread has been closed because all threads in the Meet and Greet forum are closed after a week. I know it's tough to find one's way around a forum when one is new. But, for what it's worth, here are the Guidelines for the Meet and Greet forum.

The Canada forums are divided up as follows:
Immigration - A place to ask questions about gaining entry to Canada.

Meet and Greet - A place to wave at everyone and say hi when you're new. Not intended to be a place for actual discussions.

The Maple Leaf - A place for off topic discussions and jokes.

Main Canada forum - Used to be called the Lifestyle forum, but doesn't really seem to have a name any more. I call it the main Canada forum. It's a place to asks questions about Canada that are not related to immigration. People discuss taxes, jobs, schooling, medical care, housing, driving, grocery shopping, and everything else you can imagine.
After you have posted three messages on the BE forum, you're allowed to send private messages to forum members. For example, you could reply to me and thank me for giving you this information and, bingo, you'd be free to send people private messages.

To send a person a private message (PM), click on his/her User Name in the top left hand corner of one of his/her posts. This will take you to a screen that has a link to the private message feature.

If tonyrleach is indeed the person you're looking for, his profile (on which you can access the PM screen) is here.

I hope things will work out for you in Calgary.
x
