Renting a car
 

Just wondering if anyone has rented a car in Canada and dropped it off in the US or vice-versa, I'm sure I did this once and I can't remember any details so it was probably not a problem but I can't recall. Getting old I think.

I suppose it depends on where exactly, let's say Vancouver to Seattle. I know I looked into doing it from Calgary to Great Falls Airport ages ago and that was a non-starter.

Any recommendation for a rental company?

The reason for me asking is so I can get cheaper airline tickets/better choice of destinations from a US airport. Last time I rented a car in Vancouver it cost a fortune so it's probably a daft idea, but meh.

Enterprise / Avis Canada allow 1 way rentals from Vancouver to Seattle area - probably to other places too.

You could also use Expedia to look, as they search all local car rental companies.
