Relocating to Toronto
Hi!
I February I will be moving to Toronto from Australia for 2 years. I've have a full-time job in Mississauga. I am not sure whether I should live in Mississauga or closer to Toronto? I am thinking that it will be easier to meet people (as I don't know anyone in Canada) in Mississauga as it may be more of a community and the people I will be working with may live there. On the other hand I love to party and socialise (I'm 22 years old and single), and I'm sure Toronto has a much better nightlife and things to do during the day than Mississauga. Any ideas and contributions would be greatly appreciated.., Nick. |

Re: Relocating to Toronto
I've just relocated from Oakville. I live in Little Italy - College and Ossington to be roughly exact.
I'd rather cut my arm off with a rusty spoon than live in Mississauga. I can't drive around there for more than a minute without getting lost, and its my very worst idea of suburban hell. Miles of strip malls and suburban housing and not a lot else to speak of. Give me Toronto any day... |

When in Toronto lived Bloor/Yonge, nice area, centrally located for bars, restaurants, shops, subway etc so no real need for a car you can get down to the GO trains on the Yonge subway line. Wouldn't live in Mississauga it looks very boring. Would suggest anywhere up Yonge St - Yonge/ St Clair, Yonge/Eg, Yonge/Lawrence etc |
