Question Relocating from one province to another?

Good afternoon!

My family & I currently live near NS in Canada but are consiering moving to the Alberta region.

We are thinking about Lethbridge.

We have two children, a daughter in high school and a younger son.

My daughter is happy about moving as she wants to go to the UNi in Lethbridge, son is not so sure!

Where we live at the moment is kind of 'in the sticks', and we feel we have done most stuff here. This area was only mean't to be a stop gap until we got our feel for the canadian way of life, iykwim.

Any thoughts & advice would be appreciated.

Thanks, did a thread search and read through most of them but was hoping to hear from someone who lives there or who has relocated themselves.

So is Lethbridge tbh, except there are no sticks. House prices there are crazy at the moment because everyone seems to want to move there. My main advice would be to live outside the flood plain because it always seems to flood during the spring.

I think the population is around the 80,000 mark but there are various small towns around it and Medicine Hat is quite close.

I always think there should be a road sign on 24 Ave S as you go over the railway crossing onto Hwy 4 that says: "You Are Now Leaving Civilization".

Yep, housing is very highly priced. However I think its that way most places now.

Will take note about the 'flood plain'.

Am looking to do a trip out there to scope things out, look around etc.

Thnaks for the info.

I moved from Alberta TO Nova Scotia last year.

Having visited Lethbridge once or twice, there is nothing there that you dont already have here.

Which areas? What's too much money?

You can get some decent places that i'd consider reasonable in price throughout BC, and close to water.

Near NS, not quite in NS.

Where we are the city is no bigger than a local high st, one mall so all the kids wear the same clothes and basically no where to travel too as its all baron.

I don't know which areas, where would you call a decent place in BC where you can get nice housing/schools etc at a decent price?

any info is greatly received.
