rejected after medicals
Dear all seniors,
we are a family of 5. we have done our medicals and sent them 2 months ago. we are still waiting for the ppr. my eldest son is above 18 years old. we applied in the old system (2005). How much is the chance of being rejected now? If our medicals are fine would there be any chance of rejection? Thank you, |

Hi
We did our medical in July and have not heard anything either. We sent a case specific enquiry to London in Sept and they replied that they don't anticipate requesting our passports for visa issuance before Dec 2010/Jan 2011. So here we sit, waiting... I also know that several other people on BE have had the same reply from London. |

Re: rejected after medicals
Thank you for sharing, are you all in the old system. I have been waiting for more than 60 months now!! I wonder are you all also since 2005. Do you think that it differs from one visa office to the other? what about warsaw for example? Do you think that our file would take a longer time since I have a son who's over 18 years old? please share if you have any idea.

Re: rejected after medicals
different offices do of course have varying processing times, due to the volumes of applications they receive. the CIC website has a spreadsheet detailing the 'standard' wait times for each sort of application for each office.
there is also a description of the territories served by each office, so you can gain an appreciation for the work loads helping to generate the back log. one cannot help but wonder how much time could be saved if immigration authority resources could be dedicated exclusively to application processing, instead of having to also respond to enquiries based upon impatience.;) |
Re: rejected after medicals
We are applying under the new system. I take my hat off to those of you who applied under the old system. The long processing time was what put us off applying for Canada, but then we decided to apply after all when they changed the rules
