Regina SK??

Hi, I have a possible job as a Hgv mechanic in Regina SK!
I am just looking for some info on Regina, I am reading varied reports on levels of crime etc however the city has rave reviews as a great city to live.
If any one lives there or has lived there can you give me Some feedback, it would be greatly appreciated!

Hi there and welcome!
My husband has accepted a job offer as an hgv technician in Regina also and we are currently just waiting on our provincial nomination certificate (pending pr status) and hope to move from Scotland in the next few months!
Where is the job offer for? We researched Regina a lot and our findings were positive. We have 2 children and after speaking to fellow expats who have made the move, we are confident that our decision to make Regina our home is a good one.
Good luck

It's flat - The earths curvature is all that stops you seeing Toronto.
Air Search in SK stand on grain elevators with binoculars to save fuel.
It's damned hot in summer
It's damned cold in winter
It's got damned great mossies

Turn volume off before playing video - some people should never be allowed near a microphone. I know a fair bit about Regina having lived here nearly 50 years. :welcome:

Both CTS Kenworth and Sterling Volvo have a number of Brits working here , all seem happy with their move over , certainly no shortage of opportunities for heavy truck mechanics .
Ignore the crime stats , it's nearly all contained in one small area a blocks wide and doesn't effect 99% of Regina residents .

Check out the weather for the past few years.

Regina December Weather 2013 - AccuWeather Forecast for Saskatchewan Canada

It will have a high of 30C tomorrow.

I think you need to be comfortable with weather extremes.

Weather seems consistently warm and then consistently cold.

It's not an offer I have yet but speaking with company now. Where abouts is your offer. I am readin mixed things but as the other post says I think it maybe the one neighborhood that is the problem between themselves

What neighborhood is the problem. I see a lot of houses for sale in Rae street and queens street. Is this a good area or not?

OH accepted a 3yrs contract with sterling volvo, as far as wev been advised, the not so good area is around the mosaic stadium, north central!
Not sure of street names etc but we are looking around wascana park, harbour landing and north east.
Wish you luck on the job front :)
