Default Recovered from COVID-19, re-entering Canada

Hi All,

I hope all are well.

I got covid-19 in the first week of June, and have since recovered. I flew out to the UK and provided negative rapid antigen tests pre-flight, Day 2 and Day 8. I am slightly confused on requirements for my return to Canada which I would love your guidance on.

Travel.gc.ca states the following:Symptom-free, recovered, got better, already had COVID

"If you are now symptom-free, you can provide proof of a positive COVID-19 molecular test when crossing the border, instead of a negative one.
  • After August 9, 2021: The test must have been conducted at least 14 and no more than 180 days before:
    • the initial scheduled departure time of your aircraft, or
    • your entry into Canada by marine or by land"
I am within the 180 day period and so it seems that I may be exempt from pre-entry testing requirements, however, as I have provided a negative test on arrival to the UK, should I not technically provide the authorities with further test results on arrival over and above proof of having had and recovered from COVID-19??

Many thanks!
