Re: Reccy in Ontario
Thanks again for the info folks, I think we're going to hire the car from the airport more for convenience than anything else, the opening and closing times of the rental agencys downtown appear to be a bit inflexable. The Davenports are correct, Car Hire 3000 and EasyCar seem to come up the cheapest.
I think we will stay and have a look round Toronto during the first weekend, our first official appointment for the working week is in Belville on the Monday morning at 9am to have my experience as a motor mechanic looked at and hoping to be able to sit the provincial test later in the week  better get studying ! The rest of the time will be spent talking to prospective employers and looking at housing and schools between Belville and Ottawa. |
Re: Reccy in Ontario

We did a reccy out to Ontario back in May, staying a couple of nights in Toronto before driving out to Belleville, PEI, then on to Brockville. We made the mistake of staying by the airport which as previously described is all industrial, if you get the chance stay downtown. Belleville was ok but we were put off by the big planes flying into the air base at Trenton every couple of minutes ( and they are going to expand the base into one of the largest in the country).

Re: Reccy in Ontario
Thanks Davenports, I think it will be Car Hire 3000 as they have free cancellation, EasyCar doesn't.
Hi Stu-pot, interesting info about the air base, I'll keep that in mind, do you mind me asking what area you decided on after the reccy ? Hi Mrs Miggins, thanks for the good wishes, I see from your location you're in AB, are you looking to move from there to Ontario ? |
