Does anyone know any business agents from whom I can find out about care home businesses in vancouver? I would definitely open the bank account as it is virtually impossible to do so from abroad - except with HSBC. I'd recommend doing some research on the cost of housing in various areas (something I can help with ;) as this will help you look at areas you can afford. If you do some planning in advance you may even be able to set up interviews or meetings with potential employers - with the skilled worker visa taking so long these days, those with jobs are the only ones who seem to be making it over - so finding a job is a really good idea. You might want to talk with a mortgage broker too and I can put you in touch with the one we recommend. Also gives you a realistic idea of what you can afford to borrow. Apart from that make sure you get to enjoy Vancouver's attractions. See poor old Stanley Park, the Aquarium, Grouse Mountain and Capilano Suspension bridge, Granville Island. Warmly, Frank |
Re: reccie trip in may
hi we have some of the same questions you are asking ,my wife is just back from a winter reccy to vancouver ,thought it best to send her in case it was really bad !!
she says no worse than scottish winters and enjoyed the skiing we have found our lawyer to have contacts in most fields ,accountants , real estate , banks , tax advisors, etc from his refferal we have then met them to ask the questions . i feel its easier to go through recomendations and to meet face to face , at least you look serious in your business rather than one of many emails. we opened an acount at the Royal bank of scotland , it took 30mins , you need your passport and a home address item (drivers license) good luck , drop me a line if you want any of our contacts happy to share. |
