Reccie Cancelled
 

Hi All,
well as the header says our reccie to NS is off ,due to the Zoom debacle and one or two issues at home.
We knew that when zoom changed our intinery from 14 days to 10 days that fate was going to give us the finger,little did we know that we were going to get the fist.
We had looked forward to this new adventure and feel so down about our lost chance.
We hope to book for next year around the beginning of August this time for 18days, but i am sure miss fate will have closed the C I route by then.
I will still prowl about this site and look on with envy at you lucky people who managed to jump all the hurdles that come your way.

us too ,the decision was taken after a lot of sleepless nights.We will be with you in spirit if not in body,have a great time and let us know how you get on.
Who knows maybe when we arrive next August we will have a big party ,when all you guys will be firmly rooted in NS:thumbsup:

If it is any help, i gave up on all of ths last year as we just couldnt get into ontario, wasted money and all that.
And a yr later and aweek in my new home im happier than happier can be.

We came out to alberta in april and secured jobs, employer fab, area fab, kids done there first day at school as well.

I know its hard, i felt like everything was against us, but thats life, it will make you fight harder and make you stronger for the move.
We had some really bad slaps when we was in th uk, could list all, but the way i look at it, its made me stronger for my kids and there is a new me now, stronger and more out going.

Take time off and get back fighting soon

many thanks for the boost,i reckon in another few weeks i will be ready to get on that horse again.With you talking about your kids it made me remember why we wanted to move out to Canada.Not for the money but for the opportunities that will open up for my children.

If it is any help, we landed sunday evening
By tuesday evening the kids was off playing with some kids down the road, by friday they have a freind base, me i have met so many people and have been for a brew with lady who has been here years ;)

The kids are happier, the kids have more freedom and the area is fantastic ;)
OK i know ive been here a week and i may get wobbles, but i will take what life throws at me, i wouldnt move back to the uk, although i miss my mum and my best friend so much, but the internet is fab and has helped me to settle knowing that we can talk

If yu need to PM me feel free, i do relise that this move isnt for everone, but for kids they can have a awesome life (my daughters words :D)

Hi Gill,
i am sure you will cope with whatever life throws at you and i am certain most people get the wobbles at some point in their new life.
Life would be just plain old boring if we didnt have doubts as to the kids enjoying themselves in a safe clean environment PRICELESS!!
I honestly feel a lot better and i am certain now that we will make our dream come true .
I might have to bide my time till next year but hey with the friends we have made on BE,it will no doubt fly in.Us with it :eek:

Such a shame you had to knock the reccie on the head. We were in the same boat as you with the zoom fiasco and had to change a lovely 11 day trip into just 1 week! We also did a lot of soul searching deciding whether to postpone or not but the draw of NS just can't keep us away! Guess we will just have to cram everything in!

Good luck with your revised plans and i really hope everything works out for you. Hang on in there and don't leave us on BE:thumbup:

Hi Arty

Do not give up just yet. I have just come back from my reccie and meeting with Margot. The CI route is not going to close and the RDAs are being really proactive and are trying to make this the easiest route, as from what i could gather they really need new people. Especially in the Colchester area.

Margot is lovely and will definitely make you feel welcome and help and advise you in every way.

Just hang on in there and it will all work out. Good luck:thumbsup:
