Realtor recommendation?

Realtor help needed please!
Can anyone recommend a realtor to assist in selling our home in Vancouver? Do they all charge a similar commission rate?
Would anyone recommend one of the 1% realtors, or do you get what you pay for?
Thanks!
Lyn

Re: Realtor recommendation?

Its only 1% if your home is going to sell for $500,000+ as they have a minimum charge of $5,000.

Plus you pay all of their costs, disbursements, adverts, MLS fee's etc.

I think you pay whether it sells or not, but I'm not 100% sure on that, you should check.

I have no idea of what their service level is.

One BE member is a realtor working in West Van. His moniker is Frank'n Sense. I don't know him from Adam so offer no recommendations, but he might be a start.

IMO you do get what you pay for.

She is in North Vancouver. Garden sheds start at $500,000 there. :)

Thanks for mentioning me. My OH, Sue, and I work the north shore and would be happy to help.

Whether it is us or another realtor, you want to make sure you know what your fees cover. Discount brokerages often don't give the same service without you digging in your pocket to pay for "extras". There is no set fee as every realtor is self-employed and able to change their fees at will.

The market is still pretty much a seller's market in Vancouver - particularly for some levels in the market.

Warmly,

Frank
