Real Estate Schedule A?

Hi All
Been looking at Property and come across one we really like but on the MLS website it states the following
This home is being sold ' as is. where is' and has no property disclosure. Schedule 'A' to be part of Purchase and Sale.

Could someone shed some light as what this means. Does it mean it hasnt had survey done?

Thanks
Chris

Schedule A sets out the boundaries of the property - we bought an as is where is property and our schedule A dates back from the 50's and is really next to useless. It is set out like "Start at the boundary to Miss Weston's land and walk north easterly 10 paces"....!! Our Realtor assured us this was fine - then after close told us we needed to get a Land Survey so we could see what our boundaries actually were, as when we came to sell it, the potential buyer would request this....

You can, for about $350, get a land survey done before you buy the property.

Re: Real Estate Schedule A?

Schedules can be attached to any offer to purchase and they are used when the conditions are longer than can be fitted onto the offer to purchase, the first page is "A" the second "B" etc. They can be used for any purpose.

Normally though a "Schedule A" is used in a third party sale, Banks, Power of Attorney, etc., when the seller has no knowledge of the property, it outlines their (the sellers) lack of liability in the sale and adds conditions benefiting the seller.

In Amydavid's case an old survey was attached to the contract and labeled "Schedule A".
