whoever wrote that article is fataly flawed. The guy he uses as his case example he
says in big letters applied 5 months before the new law came into effect, that means
he applied in late January2002. It is quite plain to anyone who reads this news
group, or the CIC website, or any point of well researched immigration news that
Dec17th2001 was teh deadline for applications to be considered under the old law
(although they recently changed it to dec31st). They didnt just put that notice up on
Dec16th it was there for months, anyone paying so much money for immigration should
seriously check the laws and regulations in effect and any special circumstances
before they apply. He must surely have known there was a new law coming into effect
because a new law in one form or another has been on the books for at least 3 or 4
years. If the guy applied via a lawyer then any lawyer for immigration should have
known that an application filed in late january2002 had zero chance of being assessed
under anything but the new law. seems to me that the people to blame arent CIC whoput
warnign on every website they have etc but eiether the guys lawyer/consultant for
ripping him off or being uninformed or the guy for not checking the rules before he
applied. there was othing but but posts about rushing to meet the deadline of dec17th
on here for months before and if allt hose people can realise the fact then so should
eveyone else have.

Seemed to me the whole article was a loosely veiled attack at some Canadian political
figures coupled with an unsubtle advert for his immigration website and
services...not too clever ! S

immigration lawyers dont decide on applications... immigration officers do... if the guy dosnt even have the capacity to proof read his own writing, how seriously can you take the claims he makes in them...

It is interesting to note that Mr. Rosenblatt has/had a very extensive network of
offices or assocaites around the world. Predominately displayed in his advertising
was a photo of him and the former Minister, Eleanor Kaplan, obviously he will not
have photo of Denis Codere in his new brochures.

Simple solution. If your application does not work out - GO TO AUSTRALIA OR
STAY IN INDIA.

Posting articles such as these will not help your case... Get a life without
complaining....
