Quickie question re. Canada to US trip

Hello all,

Just a quickie. Is an ESTA needed to fly from Canada to US? If so, how do you get one?

Thanks :)

Yes, if a UK citizen. You apply online can't remember the cost and it lasts for 2 years.

Rather than starting a new thread with a similar question, is this the same if driving over the border?

I'm planning on driving down from Toronto to Buffalo in a couple of weeks to catch a Bills game. Assumed I didn't have to complete an ESTA as I'd thought this was only for air arrival and would simply need to complete an I-94 when crossing the bridge. Anything I need to revise / be aware of / take with me?! TIA.

I know what you meant but just to clarify for anyone who might have misunderstood...a UK citizen who is also a Canadian citizen and travelling on a Canadian passport does NOT need ESTA when flying to the US.

ESTA is only needed for air arrival, no need for land borders

Thanks - that was my reading of it too, but wasn't sure if things had changed.
