query about landing
 

Hi - we have our PR and are due to land in the next few weeks. We were depending on the sale of our business to provide funds (for proof of funds). The sale should have been settling on Wed but has now been delayed potentially until Feb. I have looked at past threads about landing and the CIC website but not sure if my reading of the situation is accurate. I am the main applicant - others are my husband and three children. I don't have confirmation of work yet but my husband does. Does this then mean that we don't need to show proof of funds because he has evidence of a job - sure I read that somewhere but just looking for any other advice. Thanks!

In theory, you will have to show funds. The issues of a job only arise with TWP. Whether the immigration officer actually asks you for proof of those funds is another issue. I wasn't and, from previous posts, neither were 95% of others on this board.
