Hi
I've been asked to provide some references for my first decent job-bite but the employer has come back asking if I have a driver's license for Quebec. Does anyone know how long it takes to obtain one considering I can do a straight swap of my UK license for Quebec license (or that was the latest I read)? I'd hate to lose out just because I don't have one but hopefully if I can put the wheels in motion (pun intended) soon then it won't count against me...
Thanks

As far as I remember, you phone them up, make an appointment (maybe I didn't have to but call just in case!!), show up with some cash and photos and you get issued a temporary one there and then, followed by the real one a week or so later.
Only downer... they wouldn't allow me to ride a motorbike without a test, even though I am qualified to on my UK license....
This is a good place for info: http://www.saaq.gouv.qc.ca/en/driver...ange/index.php
