Same in Ontario. Last week it was announced that those who had the AZ shot before March 19th would start to get the 2nd shot this week. The vaccine expires at the end of the month, but the vax is still undergoing quality control. Now they are worried it will expire before it gets into arms.

That's some good news, or at least that the discussion has commenced:
https://www.thestar.com/politics/fed...anel-says.html
"Those who are fully vaccinated, the report said, shouldn’t have to automatically quarantine or take a COVID-19 test after 10 days, though they should be tested for COVID-19 on arrival and go into quarantine if found to be infected."
That's music to my ears. Finally some reasoning.

Now come on gov crack on and get it done - would be nice to see Canada take a lead on something for once!

Well seeing as Justin is supposed to be travelling to the UK for the G7 in early June it will be interesting to see what plan is submitted to the PHAC and if upon return he has to quarantine at a hotel in Toronto or Montreal though normally official PM flights usually depart and return to CFB Trenton.

Yeah there was an issue at that US plant they screwed up J&J doses in March, at the time AZ was also being produced there, so there is some concern doses originating from that plant may not meet quality standards.

You're probably right but why should he? It could be a virtual conference. The Queen complyed with coronavirus to bury her husband so yes if he goes it's 10 days here or test to release and 3 on the way home!

That is until they change the rules for the vaccinated travellers. Maybe Justin's trip will be an impetus for change.

Re: Quarantine for COVID 19 discussions.
June 22 will be interesting, initial reports were form high ranking but unnamed US Customs and Border Protection officials, but now a member of congress has said it.
Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-Texas) told POLITICO this week that U.S. authorities are poised to begin lifting restrictions at both American frontiers in June. (Frontiers being the border with Canada & Mexico.)
Rep. Cuellar sits on the committee for homeland security which includes the subcommittee for Border Security, Facilitation and Operations.
Just have to wait and see, but each day there seems more indication from the US, they may proceed with opening of their side of the borders in June.

It seems fair to think that a nation's prime minister might be fairly essential.
