Quantity Surveyor/Estimator Vancouver?

Hi all,

New to this site and this is my first post.

I graduated last year from university in Northern Ireland with a first class degree in quantity surveying. Me and a friend who is also a QS out of university one year now want to look to move to Canada to work within this discipline. We are both currently in employment. As i have been doing my research it seems like the easiest way of getting into a similar career in Canada for someone who is non-canadian is through knowing someone and having contacts pre made before you move out. We are thinking of getting the one year working visa and then trying to get a permanent job and sponsorship within the year. My question or questions are -
- Who is the best company to go through bunac/usit?
- Has anyone else previously done this or is in the process of doing this as a QS?
- Which city has the most job opportunities? (ideally we are looking to go to Vancouver)
- Does anyone know any names of construction recruitment companies in the vaancouver region who have a good reputation for getting non-canadians employment?
- Does anyone know any companies that take on non-canadians through the sponsorship visa method?
- I am also from a farming background so would it be easy enough to get farming work if i was not successful?

Apologies for all the questions.
All advice appreciated.
Thanks :D
