Push Cylinder Mower

Trying to find a good Push Cylinder Mower, I had a nice one in the UK, very old and I can not remember the make.

Trying to get one in Toronto, so far I can only find ones with no cylinder and the grass box is extra.

Anyone seen one ?

Or at least a good quality push mower, what makes are good?

The canadian term is a "Reel Mower"

Home hardware or depot, I forget which, were advertising a push one with a grass box recently if that helps

Why on earth would someone want a mower that requires physical effort and doesn't pollute? That's not the North American way.

I use to have one until my father in law moved into a condo and gave me his gas mower.

It may not be the North American way but I had one because I thought it was cool. The gas mower won't last much longer and I'm going to get a reel mower again when its done for.

If you don't let the lawn grow too long, it really isn't any more effort to cut it with a reel mower.

We got ours in Sears. Or I think we did - the box says "Yardworks", is that Sears' generic brand? It was very cheap anyway. We never bothered with the box, didn't stay on even if we'd wanted to!

Edit: ahh, it's Canadian Tire - this is the one - http://tinyurl.com/5va26a - no probs other than the box being a waste of time and money.

Just scrapped my "Made in England" cast steel posh-push mower for a sexy gloss-black, made in Communist China electric model (rotor blade). Cost $88 +taxes, runs on electricity and weighs a mere 37 lb. Piece of cake - and is very gentle on my immaculate anal-retentive golf-green lawn of bliss.
