Proof of funds in Canada
Hi,
I've read a lot on here of people having issues with their UK banks refusing to sign the proof of funds form for the IEC. I'm currently in Canada and my current work visa (gained through Bunac) ends this month. I've applied for visitor status so I can stay here whilst I apply for a new work visa through IEC. As I have been working in Canada all my funds are in TD Canada Trust. Has anybody had any experience with getting them to sign a proof of funds form? Cheers, Jim |

Re: Proof of funds in Canada
My bank were useless. In my application form I attached a letter to my bank statement saying that my bank refused to write me a letter and when I approached another bank they also stated they would not do this.
IEC seem a bit ridonkulous. If they're going to set remits for their paperwork they could at least check if any banks are willing to do this. |

Agreed. Just got off the phone with my bank in the UK and they will send nothing for me to take to a bank, apart from charge me for all my back bank statements - all 10 years worth and on three accounts. They said that they no longer have a policy to write any form of proof or introduction. Bugger.
