Default Proof of address when hoping to live with relatives

Hi,

Just wondering what would acceptable proof of address for things like OHIP, school registration etc. We will be staying with my father in law so won’t have any of the usual proof of address.. had a look through OHIP list and won’t have any of the listed documents at least to start with.. in this scenario is it best to wait until we have a bank statement etc? For schools we want to register ASAP... we are planning to arrive in July want them to have their place for start of the school year.

thanks

There is no rush to apply for OHIP (3 month wait anyway), we applied after 2 months. You could always download and create a Canadian rental agreement and get it formalised with your father in law (room or basement 'rental').....

Thanks, did think whether that was an option. Will hold of on OHIP... hopefully rental agreement and maybe a cell bill will be acceptable for the school registration.
