profession - affect length of processing?
hello, good morning to all of you here. it's my first day here as a member and would like to seek your advice and points-of-view. my wife and i are already gathering our papers and needed documents for our application to canada. hopefully, we can submit them by end of february. we are going the route of "skilled worker". i just would like to know, as to how long should we expect to wait before we get our visa? what's the shortest wait that you know of? is there any bearing if you have a profession that is in limited supply in canada(we've read somewhere that nurses are in-demand there)? thanks very much in advance.

Re: profession - affect length of processing?
Hello.
39 months is the current predicted wait-time for SW applications submitted via CHC London, and it may well grow, nobody knows. What profession you are makes no difference (unless possibly if you apply via a route other than SW, which you may want to look into to see if you qualify), and there's nothing you can really do to speed up a SW application, although you can help prevent any further delays by making sure that you submit all of the supporting evidence they ask for and fill in the forms accurately. |
