pregnancy cover
 
(we got the job yesterday - just waiting on visas now) if missus is preggers whenb we land will she still be covered by health care in edmonton or best to wait till we're there 3 months etc

Congratulations on the job. In Alberta you are eligible for the provincial health care insurance scheme as soon as you land, if you have arrived from outside Canada.

so she would be covered for the baby birth costs and scans and all that stuff??

just she's due an op asap and we've got a window of 'opportunity' for a few months afterwards OR we can wait till we go to canada and see if they'll do the same op there but it would be a pre existing condition
