PR working remotely for a US company
Is it possible for a Canadian PR to work remotely for US based company without Canadian presence. The work will be done while in Canada but working remotely for a US based company. Aside from filling taxes in both US and Canada is there any other issue or problems that one needs to be aware.

You'll probably need to work as a contractor, because there is no Canadian payroll to put you on, and paid gross (no deductions) on invoices, so you won't be taxed through the payroll in the US and can pay the appropriate incomes taxes and social charges in Canada. You should be paid, as a contractor, at the grossed up rate of your pay/ salary plus the Social Secuity charge that your employer would have paid had you been in the US, so that puts you on a level(ish) playing field to pay the social charges in Canada.
You should also seriously consider negotiating for a payment in lieu of the cost (to your employer) of health insurance as you won't be on the company health insurance plan in the US. |

No, PR's can work for anybody (with the limited exception of jobs where citizenship is required), you can study, retire, set up your own business or whatever you like.
