PR visa application stages

what is the 1st stage in the PR application process?
how long is it before the submital of your application that you are made aware if you have enough points to qualify or not?
what happens after this stage?

would be grateful for you comments as always guys

basicaly you apply to CHC London.

The first contact you get will be an AOR or Acknowledgment of Receipt.

This indicates they have your application, nothing major was missing (ie they havent sent it back incomplete asking for a form you missed or something). It indicates they have created a file for you and give you the file number (Bxxxxxxxxx) and it is waiting for an officer to assess it.

The next stage is when an officer assess the file and decides how many point syou get. You then either get a rejection with a reason ie not enoguh points say 73/74 etc, or an acceptance saying ou are ok to go and usually include yoru medical forms and an interview waiver. Ther eis a possibility of interview, but under these new rules its less likely.

then you do your medicals. wait for them to get done, then the next thing you here is the request for the passport.

As for timelines, it's hard to say. It seems to vary. I'd say up to 3 months for the AOR, then who knows.
